UP THE LINE
It was most depressing , plod, plod, legs and boots going
on and on and when a halt came we would just fall down,
after having a leak, and the pack was gett ing heavier
and heavier.
When you t ook it off you seemed t o rise in the air.
We had rounds in the pouches and Iron rat ions.
